It was incredible not only to be recognized by my peers in the inaugural Game Writing category at the Nebula Awards, but also to see interactive fiction awarded in a literary category for the SJVs.ģ. The highlight of my publishing career so far is definitely being a finalist for the Nebula Award for my 2018 game The Martian Job, which also won the Sir Julius Vogel Award in the Novella/Novelette category. What has been the best publishing experience of your career so far? I also have stories in a couple of upcoming anthologies: Trans-Galactic Bike Ride features the feminist bicycle speculative adventures of trans and non-binary characters, and KeyForge: Tales From the Crucible is a collection of stories set in the wild science fantasy world of the tabletop game KeyForge.Ģ. It follows two characters who have moved to a mining colony on Mars to start new lives, and find themselves caught in the balance between capitalist exploitation and human exploration.

My most recent book is Retaking Elysium, a prequel story set in the same world as my interactive fiction game The Martian Job.
